A trip to Florence is also an opportunity to discover the charming towns of the surroundings.

Among the beautiful hills of Florence absolutely to be visited are the old villages, abbeys and Renaissance villas that managed to keep their original appearance over the centuries and today are real hidden gems.
Among the towns to see, San Miniato is one of the most intact in all of Tuscany, with its medieval lanes lined by ancient buildings and the famous fortress where you can enjoy a splendid view over the hills.

Among the villas, one of the most beautiful is undoubtedly the villa of Lorenzo de' Medici at Poggio a Caiano, a splendid example of Renaissance architecture.

Where to go?
